Live ads check
Check how live ads are doing and what to do with each one, cut, keep, duplicate, iterate or watch, judged on each ad's own goal.
Use this when you ask how ads are doing now, which to pause or scale, or why an ad set
is underperforming. In Claude Code the plugin starts it with /winandscale:live-check.
Freshness
meta_get_overview returns lastSyncedAt and the account's recent numbers. If the sync
is stale, call meta_sync_now; meta_backfill_insights fills older days. Quote
coverage: days before it read as zero, not as "no spend". See
Sync and history.
Verdicts
meta_suggest_next classifies every live ad as cut, keep, duplicate, iterate or
watch, with reasons and numbers. Paused ads are skipped. Each decision's goal says
which event it was judged on:
- an ad bought for a purchase is judged on ROAS, and a profitable ad is never cut;
- an ad bought for add to cart, leads or conversations is judged on cost per that event against a target: the operator's, else the account history's.
With no target, the answer is watch, said out loud, rather than a made-up bar. Set the
goal and targets with meta_set_thresholds.
Why
meta_get_ad_performance gives one ad's trend. meta_get_breakdowns splits performance
by age, gender, country, platform or device, or one ad's placement and retention.
Act only on the person's word
A cut is advice. List the ads and let the person pick.
- Pausing is
meta_set_ad_statuswith PAUSED. - Setting ACTIVE spends money and needs an explicit go-ahead.
- Targeting fixes (
meta_update_ad_set_targeting) restart Meta's learning phase, so confirm the ad set and the exact values, one ad set per call.

Report purchases and ROAS only where the purchase pixel fired. Low delivery is inconclusive.

meta_suggest_next and meta_get_breakdowns have no REST endpoint.
